Primenoir is run by Shuddho and Torsha
Primenoir Photography is run by the husband-and-wife team of Shuddho and Torsha; Shuddho is the on-the-ground photographer with almost 15 years of experience, while Torsha brings method to the madness! Together they ensure the client experience as well as the storytelling are both timeless and elegant.
In Shuddho’s own words:
“I am a freelance photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and for me, photography has always been about connection.
My love for photography began long before I could afford a camera. When I finally got one, I started photographing everything around me. Over time, my skills evolved, and within four years of shooting my first image, I was working as a freelance wedding photojournalist across multiple cities in India.
During my early freelance years, my work was featured in various Indian magazines and blogs, and as I began winning both independent and corporate photography competitions, what started as a hobby grew into a meaningful pursuit and profession.
I am deeply passionate about capturing fleeting, candid moments in natural light. Whether I’m working on portraits, events, weddings, or real estate, my goal is always the same: to tell a story through every shot. I approach every shoot with care, curiosity, and intention—most importantly, by understanding you and translating your special moments into timeless photographs.”
About Torsha:
Behind every great photograph is someone making sure everything else runs with precision—and that’s where Torsha comes in. With a strong foundation in consulting, and product management, she brings a strategic method to the madness. From shaping our brand positioning to refining client experience, she ensures that every decision is thoughtful and intentional.
On set, she seamlessly shifts from strategist to stylist—guiding posing, perfecting details, and helping you feel confident in front of the camera. Off set, she leads our social media, marketing, and operations with the same level of care. In many ways, she’s the reason the experience feels as polished as the final images.
